Thank you for visiting our website, my name is Zoe Parkes, Headteacher at Akaal Primary School and I am pleased to welcome you.

We are a Sikh faith school and have been open since 2015. School began its story with just 23 children in porta cabins on the car park of the Sri Singh Sabha Gurdwara. The new school building opened in 2018 where pupil numbers increase; today we have 220 pupils.

Through our website you will see references to how our faith designated influences guides the way our school works. Our school welcomes pupils of all faith backgrounds as well as those with no faith. Our virtues led approach is at the heart of all that we do.

Our virtues are those that can be identified by all faith groups as well as in the wider community to help us to become good human beings. Our role at Akaal is to support our children to become good citizens and offer them the toolkits to shape their future and support them as life, long learners. Our virtues are used to ensure children make the correct choices in life and reflect on the ones that they make. We strive for excellence and want Akaal children to be the best that they can be. We love to praise our children for the effort they put in and give them the scaffold to aim for the stars with academic excellence.
